Here’s a recipe from Jesse Pensel.

Italian Herb and Garlic Cricket Loaf

Ingredients:
1 1/4 warm non chlorinated water
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
2 tbsp cane sugar
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
3 cups flour.
1/4 cup black cricket powder.
3 tsp garlic powder
1 tbs italian herbs.

Directions:
1. Combine water, yeast, sugar and 1/2cup of flour. Mix well and let rest 10 mins.
Stir in oil and salt.
2. Add 2 cups flour, cricket powder, garlic and herbs. Mix into dough, make sure the ingredients are spread through evenly, break any lumps of cricket powder up.
3. Move to a lightly floured surface and knead into a smoothe dough.
4. Place dough into lightly oiled bowl cover and let rise 1 hr in a dark warm place.
5. After 1 hr, press the air out of the dough and divide into 2 even portions.
6. To form loaves press dough into flat rectangle shape and then roll it up from its long end, making sure to tuck the corners in.
7. Now, place the tucked side down and score your loaves 3 time diagonally like in the picture.
8. Moisten dough and bake 20 mins at 400 degrees Fahrenheit but moisten loaves after 10 mins and also when you pull the bread out.
9. Cool on a rack and slice!
