I see that with Banded Crickets sometimes…with adult Banded crickets, only the males have wings, but occasionally a female will produce wings (can’t fly or chirp with them)and they call that dimorphism (adj. occurring in or representing two distinct forms). Apparently, that is the case with this beetle, as well.
Egyptian desert roaches exhibit sexual dimorphism. Females look like scarab beetles and only males are winged. #cockroach #roach #insects #egyptian #terrarium #insekten #insectos
