I am always intrigued by new approaches to farming insects, especially crickets. This Crystal Cathedral looking contraption is actually a cricket farm. How well it works, I don’t know. Looks interesting, though. It seems they are looking at cricket farming as an off-the-grid or post-apocalyptic food generator, which is an awesome angle to approach cricket farming from. I see smaller, micro farms becoming a part of small communities everywhere.
Will they actually look like this UFO? Who knows?
“We didn’t think you just needed a shelter,” Terreform’s Mitchell Joachim said. “You actually needed some level of food, sustenance farming, so that you can help get your family protein, especially after a big calamity.”
